Unique concerts in unique settings – that’s the cornerstone of the Castle Concert Series. By handpicking venues, careful programming of repertoire and well presented introductions to each piece, we create an intimate ambience where music and space come together, to give the audience an experience above the ordinary.

To this end, we are motivated and committed to growing the Castle Concert Series for next year, to include as many new and diverse venues across the length and breadth of Scotland. As we strive to grow, we visualise inviting further Scotland-based, professional chamber ensembles to perform as part of the series, to showcase Scotland’s talented professional musicians and to bring fresh and exciting programmes to our audiences. A further key aim of the Castle Concert Series is to promote and perform new music, in particular that of Scottish composers and we are excited to report that the 2016 series will feature the world premiere of a newly commissioned work for the Boyle Klöfver Duo by the eminent Glasgow-born composer, Eddie McGuire.
